1. Introduction
This page describes how Protulox approaches security, data protection, service stability and abuse prevention. It is a concise operational overview for customers.
2. Hosting and infrastructure
The service is operated on infrastructure managed by the operator or provided by a third party. The operator applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data and ensure service availability. Access to production infrastructure is restricted to a minimum number of authorized persons. Security measures are reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be updated in light of technology developments, security threats and operational needs of the service.
3. Access protection
Access to infrastructure and service administration is limited to authorized persons. User login is protected by password. The operator takes measures to prevent unauthorized access.
4. Data in transit and at rest
Communication between the user and the service is secured using HTTPS. Data is stored on the service's servers with reasonable security measures in place. The user remains the owner of the data they store in the service.
5. Backups and availability
The operator may use backups and recovery measures following outages. Uninterrupted availability of the service is not guaranteed. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates or technical issues.
6. Monitoring and abuse prevention
The operator may monitor use of the service to ensure security and system stability. Abuse prevention and enforcement of use rules are described in the Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Security incidents
In the event of a security incident, the operator will take reasonable measures to limit impact and remediate. For serious incidents requiring notification under applicable law, the operator will act in accordance with those obligations. If you discover a security vulnerability or issue related to the security of the service, please contact the operator via the contact email address given on the Legal or Privacy Policy page.
8. User responsibility
The user is responsible for protecting their login credentials (password, access to email). The user is responsible for backing up their own important data where necessary; the operator does not guarantee any specific retention period or ability to restore user data.
